Effective security, quick setup

Needed EDR. Got EDR. Setup was fast, didn't hit any snags. It's doing its job, protecting our workstations. No complaints so far. Solid product.

Consistent performance for years

I've been using ThreatDown, and before that Malwarebytes for Business, for a few years now across different projects. This time around, I got the Managed Threat Hunting for a new client, and it was just as reliable as I remember. The OneView Management Console is still super intuitive, which makes managing multiple endpoints a breeze. They've always delivered on their promises, and this order was no different. It's why I keep coming back instead of switching to something like SentinelOne.

Good for our small office

We needed something for our little setup and went with the Endpoint Protection. Setup was pretty smooth, didn't need to call support which is always a plus. It's been running in the background without any drama, which is exactly what you want from this kind of software. My team hasn't reported any weird slowdowns or anything, so that's cool. Overall, a solid choice for basic security.

Annual billing was a smart move

I was looking for some robust security for my consulting business but didn't want to break the bank. I opted for the Endpoint Detection and Response with annual billing to get that 15% discount. It made a real difference in the total cost. The initial quote process was straightforward, and I felt like I got good value for what I paid. I did a demo first, which helped me decide it was worth the investment. Installation was easy enough, and it's been working fine. Definitely felt like a good financial decision without compromising on features.

Thinking about getting ThreatDown for our small office. Is it overkill for like 15 endpoints or would it still be worth it?

R Richard Miller 6 days ago
Nah, it's pretty scalable. I know a few places running it with even fewer seats. You can probably start with EDR and upgrade if you need more later.

S Susan Moore 5 days ago
You'd want to check their minimum seat count. I think some of their products might have one, but it's not super high generally. They'll definitely do a demo to walk you through it.

How does ThreatDown stack up against CrowdStrike for real? Is it just a cheaper alternative or does it actually compete on features?

J Jason B. 2 weeks ago
It's legit. I'd say it competes well, especially with their MDR offering. CrowdStrike is good too, but ThreatDown has come a long way. Depends on your exact needs.

From what I've seen, it's not just 'cheaper'. They're owned by Malwarebytes, so they've got a good foundation. Their EDR is solid, and the OneView console is pretty nice for management. Definitely worth a demo to compare features directly.

Hey, anyone know if ThreatDown has any active promo codes floating around? Trying to get a better deal for our annual subscription.

J Jason Smith 1 week ago
Pretty rare to find public codes for them. Your best bet is usually talking to a sales rep or going through a partner. Sometimes they'll have channel-specific deals.

I got a discount when I signed up through a managed service provider, not a direct code though. Maybe look into that route if you use one?

Need to get this for a non-profit, do they offer special pricing for those types of organizations?

B Brandon 2 weeks ago
I think so! I'm pretty sure I saw something about non-profit pricing on their site or in an FAQ. Definitely ask for it.

Yes, they do. My old job was at a non-profit and we got a specific rate. Just mention it when you talk to their sales rep.

Is there actually a discount for paying for ThreatDown annually instead of monthly? Trying to budget for next year.

R Richard Allen 2 weeks ago
Yeah, for sure. I think it's usually around 15-20% off compared to the monthly price. It's a pretty standard thing for these types of services.

Definitely an annual billing discount. My company saved a decent chunk by committing for the year. Ask their sales team when you get a quote.
